PRESENTATION OUTLINE

GOOD STEWARDSHIP

WE NEED TO TAKE PROPER CARE OF THE EARTH GOD HAS GIVEN US

WHAT IS GOOD STEWARDSHIP?

  • Stewardship is defined as finding the true value of life.
  • The first stewards of the earth were Adam and Eve.
  • God placed them in The Garden of Eden and invited them to share in his creation.
  • We similarily are called today by God to be good stewards.

"BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY"

  • God told Adam and Eve to "Be Fruitful And Multiply".
  • Be fruitful and multiply does not just mean population wise.
  • It means with plants and crops too.
  • We need to respect and make wise use of the earth's natural resources.
  • We need to replenish what we consume.

DOMINION

  • Man's dominion over the fruits of the earth is limited.
  • It is limited by the concerns of quality of life.
  • We are reponsible for future generations; our children, their children.
  • It also includes the preservation of animals.
  • Hunting to extinction and overconsumption is unacceptable.

PROTECTION/REPLENISHING

  • We need to protect God's creation not destroy.
  • We need to protect forests and wildlife.
  • We need to replenish by planting trees we cut down.
  • Use solarpower and wind instead of oil.
  • And reduce emissions which cause the ozone to fail.

Respect God's Creation
By Being A Steward Of His Nation.
