  • ANAPLASMOSIS IS A VECTOR-BORNE INFECTIOUS BLOOD DISEASE IN CATTLE

HOW IT SPREAD

  • biting flies and mosquitoes

TREATMENT

  • Unless infected cattle are detected during the early stages of the disease they should not be treated.
  • A vaccine is available that helps to reduce the severity of the infection

AGE THAT ANAPLASMOSIS AFFECT

  • The mortality rate increases with the age of the animal.

IS IT CONTAGIOUS?

  • The disease is not contagious

PREVENTION

  • Cattle that have anaplasmosis should stay away from healthy cattle
