WHY DO WE NEED A GOVERNMENT?

  • People need government to prevent chaos.
  • Government will help maintain a stable society.
  • Government will make it easier to make decision as a group.

WHAT DOES THE GOVERNMENT NEED TO DO FOR THE PEOPLE?

  • The new government needs to establish a new set of rules or laws for the people to live by.
  • The new government will also give people the hope they need to survive the apocalypse.

WILL ALL PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS?

  • All citizens that choose to live under the new governments rule and obey the laws that are set up are eligible for equal rights and will receive those rights as long as they maintain honorable citizenship.

WILL THE PEOPLE VOTE ON HOW THE GOVERNMENT WILL RUN?

  • Survivors will rely on a 2/3 vote to determine the exact fundamentals of how the government is run.

IF THERE ARE ELECTED OFFICIALS, HOW LONG WILL THERE TERMS BE?

  • Elected officials will be voted in by popular vote by citizens that obey the set laws.
  • The leader will be in office for 2 years and eligible for two terms based on elections (title for leader will determined by vote)
  • The 50 representatives will be in office for 1 year at a time and are eligible for unlimited re-election.

HOW WILL THE GOVERNMENT ESTABLISH LAWS?

  • The laws will be set by the representatives by popular vote with the leader as a tie breaker.

WHAT IF SOMEONE BREAKS A LAW?

  • The punishment for breaking a law be jail time or a fine depending on severity.

WILL YOU HAVE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT?

  • There will be no capital punishment because in my opinion rotting in jail with a lifetime sentence is a harsher punishment that killing someone and relieving their suffering.

WILL THERE BE A WRITTEN CONSTITUTION?

  • The representatives will discuss writing one but for the first decade we will survive off the initial laws set up by our representatives.
