the author shows government corruption because the government puts handicaps on people who are above average. also, they threaten and kill people with no problem.
nobody can be better or worse than anyone and the average is the limit. it seems to be a kind of preached out thing that is commonly used when they say "he did good because he tried and thats all that matters because he tried" said by Hazel Bergeron.
the government has all the people so reliant on the corrupt system that they will fight to protect it. all the people think that the way they live is good, in fact they think it is better than the world today as discussed by G.B. and H.B. which shows they have been fooled by the government.
