For short quotes, the standard two-line format works perfectly. You can either stretch the quote across the two lines, or use the first line for the quote and the second line for the speech title or the date.
My experiences: Morning devotion was when we read our 2 bible chapters. After that was breakfast and we ate things like bacon, eggs, cereal, cinnamon rolls ect. After breakfast was cabin clean up and we cleaned up our stuff, made the beds, swept under bunks, straightened the shoes, took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom. Then we would have Bible study and one of the counselors would teach my cabin. The oldest boy and girl cabin would be together with the second oldest girl cabin us and then the two youngest boys and girl cabins would be together. They would take a Bible story and teach us a lesson and play a game with it. After that we went to morning chapel where we sang songs, prayed and read the rest of our Bible stories.
And then we had the game of the day where they would call up a cabin and have them play a game. After that was lunch - we had sandwiches, chicken wings, hotdogs ect. After that we had cabin cool down and the counselors played music. We could nap, pass notes, read, eat candy and draw. Then we had 1st period and I had crafts. We got to choose our 4 periods. In crafts I got to do leather crafts, window art, sand art and draw and paint. Next we had nature and went to the creek and caught crawdads, salamanders, fish, tadpoles and frogs. This was all part of the creek ecosystem. Next we had snack shack and at snack shack we had 2 stores in the same building. One was the room where we got our candy, drinks and snacks. In the other room was the check out and gift shop with a sitting area.
It also had benches where we could eat our snacks, candy and drinks. Next we had 3rd period and had so much fun swimming! We swam, played on the inflatables (which included a slide, a trampoline and a thing where there were blue logs that turned when you walked on them). You could also kayak on the other side of the lake. After 3rd period we had 4th period and that was mini bikes. Mini bikes are mini motorcycles and I loved riding them! We rode around a big race track and could only send 14 people around the track at a time. It was really fun! Next we had dinner and we usually ate pasta, chicken or fish - it was so good! Then we had surprise hour and the counselors would pick a game for us to play and it was so much fun!
We played a game using pool noodles, games with teams, tag and then we had a scavenger hunt. For the last two nights we had snack shack and me my cousins and friends would sit under the lights (because it was almost night time) and eat our snacks and talk. Then we had chapel, sang some more songs, talked about a Bible story and heard a story about a missionary named Amy Carmichael. Then we had free time and we could explore the camp, read, draw and talk. Then we had bedtime and repeat!
Our cabin: We stayed in something like this and it was a lodge. It had many different cabins (six to be exact). My counselor was Beth and our junior counselor was Marab. The girls in my cabin included: Gabby, Hayley, Carly, Lily, Maddy, Bethany, Caroline, Suzanne, Jema, Eden and Ashley. We slept on bunks and we had two bathrooms - one that was just a bathroom and another that had two showers in it. We also had a closet. I had the best time with my cabin mates and our cabin was called Esther's Palace - named after a Bible story.
