Climate

  • Precipitation= 25-100cm
  • Lowest: -10'C
  • Highest: 30'C
A Grassland is a region where the average annual precipitation is great enough to support grasses, and in some areas a few trees, but because there is little precipitation,droughts and fire occurs and prevent forests from growing.

  • Flat
  • Temperate: rich and fertile soil

  • Adapted to droughts
  • Plants have deep and dense roots
  • Can regrow after a fire
  • Flexible stalks, can bend without breaking in the wind

  • Temperate: kangaroos, horses,wolves and coyotes
  • Mice, rabbits and snakes can burrow to escape danger
