GRATITUDE

It’s an exciting week!

This week my new book is finally being released, and I am thrilled!

In this book, I draw parallels between personal dating {which people tend to understand} and professional dating {where I find many people confused about the when, where, how and why}.

You can read two sample chapters here.

I wanted to share with you something that didn’t get covered in the book: gratitude.

You see, without a team of people, no big project gets completed.

There is no such thing as a self-made {wo}man.

For this book to get completed, I had a team of people who helped make it happen.

Although the word gratitude appears three times in this book, at no point did I write about how incredibly important expressing, sharing, and showing gratitude is in business dating or in daily life.

First, let me thank those who made it possible:

My husband and daughter, Byron and Lexi.

The greatest assistant ever, Christina Culbertson.

Dino Marino, the most creative graphic designer I know.

My mastermind team, advanced buyers, street team and advanced readers {find links to my advanced readers here}.

Second, let me challenge you to think about who you need to thank because your life runs like a well-oiled machine {or something like that}.

Who supports you as you strive toward your dreams?

Who cheers you on?

Who provides you with words of encouragement when you’re feeling down and discouraged?

I got the coolest text from someone really special to me yesterday {you know who you are}:

"Hi, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you!! You’re so awesome and I’m so grateful to be a part of your life and have you in mine. :) :)"

You never know when words like those, words of sincere gratitude that come out of the blue, will come at just the right time — right when they are needed.

They sure did for me!

Finally, now that you have your gratitude list, take a moment and reach out to each person on the list.

Send them a handwritten thank you note.

Buy them a thoughtful gift.

Do something they’d never expect, or even something they’d never do for themselves.

Life is short and today is the day to be full of gratitude — and to share that gratitude!

The best news is that the more gratitude you give and share, the more that will come back to you multiplied.
