  • Sharks are worth more, when alive than dead
  • Good indicators of ecosystems health
  • Keep our oceans healthy and productive

  • May use and loose more than 1,000 teeth in a lifetime
  • Adult Great Whites teeth are about 3 inches long
  • Shark teeth have been used for weapons and tools for any centuries
  • Shark teeth are razor-like
  • Teeth are used to shred meat

SHARK SENSES

  • There primary scenes is a keen since of smell
  • Sharks have colored vision
  • Very sensitive to low frequency sounds
  • Sharks have taste buds in mouth (not tongue, like us)
  • Sharks touch through an elaborate sense called the lateral line

  • Mako shark was the Great White shark's ancestor
  • The Carcharoles Megalodon was also one of its ancestors
  • The evaluation of the great white shark took decades to become what it is today
  • Carcharodon Carcharias is another ancestor of the great white shark
  • The class of great whites are: Chondrichthyes
