ZEUS

  • God of sky ruler of Olympian gods
  • Brothers with Poseidon and Hades; father was Cronus
  • Was responsible for the weather and shaping it.
  • Also for brining rain/ storms
  • During his birth he was the first child to escape from his father Cronus.

POSEIDON

  • Parents: Cronus Rhea
  • Siblings: Hades Zeus Demeter Hestia Hera
  • "God of Sea"
  • Responsible for the ocean and the creatures in it
  • The two Olympian gods who were particularly interested in the patronage were Poseidon, the god of the Seas and Athena, the goddess of Wisdom and Skill. They presented themselves in front of Cecrops and Cecrops asked from them to offer a gift truly valuable for Athens.

HADES

  • Parents: Cornus and Rhe
  • God of underworld
  • Oldest of all the sons

HESTIA

  • Goddess of health and family and domestic life
  • Another daughter of Cornus and Rhea

  • Goddess of marriage and child birth
  • Had many daughters to Cornus and Rhea

  • God of bow and arrow
  • Son of Zeus
  • He hunted and killed to get food
  • Famous God

  • God of Hunting
  • Daughter of Zeus

HERMES

  • God of religion and mythology
  • Son of Zeus

HEPHAESTUS

  • God of blacksmith
  • Son of Zeus and Hera

ATHENA

  • Goddess of War

ARES

  • God of war son of Zeus

  • God of perfume and the body

  • God of the grapes and the harvest
