Zeus
King of the sky/Olympus
Some of his symbols are the thunderbolt,Oak Tree, Royal Scepter
His sacred animals are Eagle, Wolf, Woodpecker
His parents are Cronus and Rhea (titans)
His wife is Hera.
But he has many significant others:Themis, Eurynome, Mnemosyne, Demeter, etc.
He has 35 children
His roman name is Jupiter

Poseidon
God of the sea
His name is Greek for “husband.”
His parents are Cronus and Rhea (titans)
Poseidon was worshipped as a fertility god.
His symbols are Trident, Fish, Dolphin, Horse and Bull
He is considered one of the most bad-tempered, moody and greedy Olympian gods.
Poseidon was most notably the God of the sea and the protector of all waters; sailors relied upon him for safe passage.
His Roman name is Neptune

Hades
God of the Dead and King of the Underworld
Cerberus was a three-headed dog who guarded his realm.
His parents are Cronus and Rhea (titans)
His symbols are Cerberus, Drinking horn, scepter, Cypress, Narcissus, key.
Hades was depicted as stern and unyielding, unmoved by prayer and sacrifice.

Ares
God of War
His Sacred animal is a Dog
Parents are Zeus and Hera
He had 8 Children
His Symbols are Spear, Helmet, Dog, Chariot, Boar, Vulture, Flaming torch
According to some sources, Ares was described as Aphrodite’s lover and was held in contempt by her husband, Hephaestus. The affair between them was not a secret among the Olympians.

She was the goddess of harvest

Her Parents are Cronus and Rhea
Men called Demeter the “Good Goddess” despite the desolation she had brought about as a result of her grief.
Demeter was granted four months per year with Persephone; her daughter would remain with Hades for the remaining months.

Hestia
Goddess of The Hearth
Symbols are the The hearth and its fire
Parents are Cronus and Rhea (Titan)
Her name literally means “hearth".
