GREEK GOVERNMENT

Monarchy: One person inherits power. Ruled from 2000 to 800 B.C.E

Strengths: they made laws and acted as judges.


Weaknesses: had to much trust in his aristocrats so they got over throne by the aristocrats.

Oligarchy: A few people share power. Ruled around 800 B.C.E.
Strengths: they were wealthy 

Weaknesses: only cared about themselves. Made laws that the poor did not like. Also they ignored the needs of most of the people.

Tyranny: one person takes power by force. Ruled in the mid 600s B.C.E
Strengths: their people trust them
Weaknesses: they were did not have the legal right to rule

Democracy: all citizens share power. Ruled around 500 B.C.E
Strengths: all citizens share power 
Weaknesses: wasn't very organized with voting One problem that immediately comes up in a democracy is who is going to be able to vote. Or should there be some limits?Another problem for democracies was that it was difficult for men to always go to the meeting-place to vote.
