  • It was a cause for celebration
  • The father did a dance with his new baby
  • Greeks loved dance
  • The mother made wreathe so they would know a baby was born

SPARTA WAS AN EXCEPTION

  • If a baby was not perfect it was killed
  • They raised children to be warriors
  • They did not want a child who could not be a warrior
  • They wanted a great warrior

WORK

  • Even young children worked on the fields
  • They were taught at home by there mother till the age of 6
  • They didn't have slaves
  • Fathers taught the boys
