BODY SIZE AND STRUCTURE

  • Their main body protectant is their shell, it's hard, like bone, and serves as a protectant from their surroundings .
  • Their back is know as the Dorsal, their belly is the ventral.
  • Counter shading of the shell conceals the turtle from predators.

HUNTING OR FEEDING HABITS/STRATEGIES

  • They are herbivors, they eat only plants.
  • They don't pose a threat to other sea life.
  • Juvenile turtles are carnivorous, eat jellyfish and other invertebrates.
  • Their jaws are finely serrated which aids them in tearing vegetation.
