Hiking Precautions
Have a whistle or air horn at all times, have pepper spray, have emergency supplies in case a bear splits your group.

Campsite Care
Bring a bear-proof cooler,
Hang your pack, don't hike at night, cook downwind of camp, check local reports on grizzly sightings, keep food out of your shelter, and be alert.

Bear Attack Causes
Antagonizing the bear, having food left out for the bear to get, being around its cubs.

Behavior Before an Attack
The bear will slowly creep up on its prey and then begin running after it. If you approach the bear, it will show its teeth.

What to do if a Bear Attacks
Keep your distance-300ft, If he's charging you, don't back down. If he's attacking, play dead.
