Regularly reading articles about business will keep you current in the classroom. Business Week, Entrepreneur, Ad Age, Dollars and Sense, Harvard Business Review, and the Wall Street Journal are some reputable publications to read. Also, local business journals may provide more local trends in business.

HOW WILL YOU ENGAGE IN YOUR LEARNING?

Attending workshops, seminars, and conferences may provide an active learning environment for you to grow in your field. Some websites that can be useful in your search are: www.isbdc.org/local-events/, www.allconferences.com, or sign up for news on upcoming webinars through Cengage at www.cengage.com/us/. Also, local business journals can provide information on workshops in your area.

Taking business classes or obtaining certifications in your field can help you grow in your profession. Go to www.careeronestop.org to search certifications in your subject area.
