Guadalupe Reyes was best known for starting a school for retarded students or with disabilities, also later on creating a school for adults who had disabilites. What she contributed to the Spanish speaking world was the she was a strong advocate to the Hispanic community and senior citizens.
Guadalupe lived during the 1920's/ 1930's she was from Oklahoma, but she settled in Chicago with her husband and 11 kids. Then in 1950's they settled in the town of Pilsen. Guadalupe did die in 2000 due to a heart attack. She was from about the same time period as us.
