• Biodiversity is important to life because each living species has a role to play.
• For instance a larger number of plant species means a greater variety of crops
• Greater species diversity ensures natural sustainability for all life forms
• Healthy ecosystems can better withstand and recover from a variety of disasters

HOW IT AFFECTS THE RAINFORESTS

• It affects it by cutting down trees and turning the forest land into desert land.
• It affects animals because the cute animals that need factors of rain forests, can't survive in desert areas and may die off.
• For instance orangoutangs and sloths would have their trees cut down and can die out or become endangered because they can't survive in the desert.

WAYS TO PREVENT OR FIX IT

• Protect certain areas
• Go deeper into the forests to find places without many trees or inhabitants to farm on.
• Stop cutting down their trees
