THE SHIPS
Vikings were known for making their own boats.
Viking longships were around 30 metres long and could carry 60 men and travel as fast as 17 knots through the water.
The most common ships they had were war ships, merchant ships and everyday ships.
The boats were long and narrow so they could go faster in the water.
