PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The suns way:
Hollyhocks turn towards it
Through the rain of May

The elements of this poem are the sun, the birds, and the rain.
The sun could represent new life because the Hollyhocks are moving towards the sun to get away from the rain. Although they are struck in the rain right now, the sun up ahead let's them know that they are almost through. The same can be said for our everyday life: we could be going through some hard times, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Spring:
Pretty flowers bloom
Butterflies fly in the sky
Day to go outside.
The elements used in this poem are flowers and butterflies. After a harsh winter, life can resume to where it left off or start over in some cases. A flower may whither away and die during a cold winter but when Spring comes, a brand new and beautiful flowers takes its place. In life, our trials and tribulations shape us into better people.

Summer:
The sun beats my face
Miles of dry and arid land
No signs of life here
The elements used in the poem are the sun and a desert. Not much can survive in the desert. The heat and length of a desert can represent difficult times a person goes through in life. It may seem endless and overbearing but it won't last forever.

Fall:
The leaves fall on leaves
The empty trees surround me
Dead place known as home
The elements of this poem consist of leaves and trees. The empty trees can represent the emptiness a person feels after losing something extremely important to them. Almost like a tree in the fall, a person can finally find out more about themselves and what they stand for when the "leaves" are taken off of our true identity.

Winter:
The white snow falls hard
There is no sun in sight now
Hot cocoa tonight

The element used in this poem is snow. When it snows, flowers and trees "die" because of huge harsh conditions. Life ends but revival is coming soon...
