A revolution is when someone tries or does overthrow government or social order with a new system.
HAITIAN REVOLUTION

- Began as a revolt
- Free blacks wanted citizenship but French colonists denied it.
- Independence movement led by Toussaint L'Ouverture.
- Independence movement for freedom.
MEXICAN REVOLUTION
- Also influenced by the Enlightenment and French Revolution.

- Independence movement for liberty and equality
- Began as an rebellion
- Padre Miguel y Costilla Hidalgo was a major figure in this revolution
SOUTH AMERICA REVOLUTION
