1790 - Vincent Ogé leads free colored rebellion in north.
1791 - Vincent Ogé executed, Toussaint leads north and south slave rebellion.
1793 - British invade San Domingo.
1794 - Jacobin frees slaves so Toussaint changes sides to the French

1801 - Napoleon come to Haiti to restore slavery.
1802 - Napoleon exiled Toussaint to France and he dies
1803 - Jean-Jacques Dessalines takes over Toussaint's work
Haiti became an independent country on January 1, 1804.

DIFFERENCES FROM AMERICA
The difference is that in the Haitian revolution it was a slave rebellion.
But similarities are the fact that the French and British are involved.
The British and French were against each other.
They were both centered around money and oppression.
