Hammurabi grew up in ancient Mesopotamia.
Hammurabi was the sixth king of Babylon from 1792 BC to 1750 BC.
Hammurabi became king after his father died.
Hammurabi was the first Dynasty King the Babylonian Empire

Hammurabi's Code
Hammurabi came up with ruthless laws because he thought would bring peace.
Hammurabi thought this because he wanted laws no one would dare to break.
Hammurabi' Code has a collection of 282 laws.
The laws was to bring peace and set standards for conduct and justice.

Hammurabi didn't fight in any important wars in his early rein.
Hammurabi took care of Babylon he built bigger buildings and taller city walls.
Hammurabi and his ally Larsa joined Mary and was able to conquer Elimates.
Hammurabi prepared for a battle when Larsa's army didn't show.
Soon after Hammurabi won the he went to conquer Larsa.

Hammurabi reunited the nation by planing several military campaigns.
The plan Hammurabi was to gain control of the Tigris an Euphrates River.
Hammurabi began the campaign by conquering Uruk and Isin.

Hammurabi changed a lot of the way Mesopotamia.
One way Hammurabi did this was transforming small cities to large cities.
Hammurabi was the greatest king of his dynasty.
Hammurabi showed this by extending his empire, he was the first one to do it since Sargon Akkan.

Most of Hammurabi's rule was on law, defense work, and religious buildings.
Even though Hammurabi was a successful military man he is known for his ruthless laws.
During his reign he supervised navigation,irrigation,tax collections, and many temples and buildings.
Hammurabi's last achievement was to shift the theater of Mesopotamia northward.
