  • He was the first emperor of the Han Dynasty
  • Overthrowed the Qin Dynasty
  • It was called the han beacuse it was in opposition of a main rival

HAN WUDI

  • He put in a strong educational program
  • Students were taught Confucianism only
  • He had a more defensive foreign Policy
  • However there were still battles.

LAND AND REFORM

  • Land owners would take over small landowners land and force them to serve as tenants
  • Taxes were reduced and there were peace talks
