- In picture 5 meiosis starts over and the chromosome pairs move to the center.
Egg 1 is an egg before Meiosis. Egg 2 is when the chromosome pairs line up in the center of the cell. Egg 3 is when the two pairs move to the opposite ends of the cell. Both eggs in picture 4 now have half the original number of chromosomes. Each chromosome is still made of 2 chromatids. Both cells in picture 5 are staring the cycle over by lining up the chromosome pairs in the center of each cell.
