Help it survive

  • at the corners of its mouth These barbels help the catfish find crabs, fish and shrimp in the muddy bays where they live.
  • After spawning, the male will carry the eggs in his mouth until they hatch There are several non-functioning eggs
  • hardhead catfish can camoflash in the sand to keep it safe from its predator.

How all of that help's

  • corner of their mouth are barbels they can help it sharch for food.
  • the male crays the egg to protect it form the predator and theirs no harm to the egg when the male carry it.
  • they can camouflage in the sand when the predator cums.

Facts

  • While the flesh is edible, it isn't very tasty and the fish is difficult to clean
  • Exercise great care when removing this fish from your hook as the slime layer covering the large barbed dorsal spine is mildly toxic.

humans can catch catfish people throw trash into rivers and oceans and it get caught in the trash .
