- French exterior ministry gives Hans the title "Chevalier"
- 2009 1st Vice Governer Hermann Schützenhöfer gave "Großen Goldenen Ehrenpreis der Republik Österreich"
Hans Riegal didn't need to start his own business he was already a co-owner of the company known as Heinen & Reigal.
