Founder: Hans Riegel, Sr. ( born April 3, 1893)
After he died during WW2 his son took over his business.

Haribo made its first gummy bear in 1922

One of the biggest company's to manufacture gummy and jelly sweets in the world.

Company has 5 factories in Germany and 13 throughout Europe.

The company started in a small backyard laundry kitchen and is now a world famous company.

Haribo has 23 different kinds of shapes and favors.

Haribo was the first company to make gummy bears.

No one in America got to taste the deliciousness until 1982

The name comes from the founders name: Ha in Hans, Ri in Riegel, and Bo in Bonn.

Haribo's catch phrase is: Haribo macht Kinder froh und Erwachsene ebenso which means: makes children happy and adults too.
