PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HARRIET TUBMAN'S

GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT

Harriet Tubman's
greatest achievement was:
Helping the black folk understand that they are slaves, giving them the hope and determination to be free.

Harriet only had a problem of convincing the people that they were slaves, for they thought of them selves as workers

"I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves"-Harriet Tubman

Harriet had a change of heart when entering the free land that caused her to come back.
"I had crossed the line. I was free; but there was no one to welcome me to the land of freedom. I was a stranger in a strange land."-Harriet Tubman

This is Harriet Tubman's greatest achievement because she helped the slaves escape even though she had a open road to freedom, and convinced the slaves they were not workers giving them hope to help free other slaves from neighboring plantations.

The hardest part for Harriet was convincing the slaves that they weren't workers most commonly using the phrase-"You can be free or you can die!"
