SCHOOL SONG

  • They have many songs, but '10 thousand men of Harvard' is the most played.
  • The song is too long for me to fit on this slide, but it starts in Latin, then English after the Latin verse.
  • It is the most played school fight song.

TUITION

  • Normal tuition without room, or board fees is $45,278.
  • Tuition including textbooks and travel fees is $64,400 - $69,600.
  • Meal plans are not included.
  • Dorm fees, and board fees are included along with the tuition.
  • In addition you are required to have health insurance to attend, and can buy it for a extra $2,390

BACHELOR DEGREE

  • I could not find the cost for a Bachelors degree, but I did find this. For PhD students.
  • Your first and second year of study is $41,832. This is required.
  • Your third and fourth year is $10,876.
  • This is before costs of dorms, or apartment, eating expenses, books, or personal expenses.

FINANCIAL AID

  • About 70% of students need financial aid.
  • It is available for up to 5 years for PhD students.
  • Families with and income below $65,000 will generally pay nothing towards Harvard.
  • Families with income between $65,000-$150,000 will be expected to pay 10%
  • Search 'financial aid' on Harvard's website to learn more.

TEST SCORES

  • You me at least a GPA of 4.04.
  • And a ACT score of at least a 32 to be considered average.
  • With these scores you only have a 6% admission.
  • With a perfect GPA and a 36 on your ACT's, you still only have a 69.72 chance of being accepted.
  • 75% of recently accepted freshman scored a 2100 or above on SAT's

HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS

  • 4 years of English Four years of a single foreign language.
  • The study of history for at least two, and preferably three years: American history, European history, and one additional advanced history course
  • 4 years of math The study of science for four years: physics, chemistry, and biology, and preferably one of these at an advanced level.
  • AP classes greaten your chance.

  • Varsity teams include baseball, basketball, crew, cross-country, fencing, field hockey, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, sailing, skiing, soccer, softball, squash, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.
  • Each dormitory can create their own team.

  • Such as 7 orchestras, choir, arts, sports, journalism, photography, drama and many many more.
