PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HAWAII

GET OUT THE VOTE

Hawaii once had the highest voter participation in the country during the early years of statehood. But in the 2010 election, only about half of the state's registered voters cast a ballot.

Some voters are content with the state's progressive policies and its ethnically diverse political leaders and don't want to see major changes.

If you don't vote, the small percent of Hawaiians who want a change and are voting, will have the greater impact.

The majority of Hawaiians are democratic, yet the majority of Hawaiian voters are republican. This is a result of a low percentage of voter turnout.
