Healing of the Possessed Mute

SUMMARY

• There once was a mute man
• The demon was driven out
• The mute person spoke
• The crowd was amazed

The crowd said:
"Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."
Pharisees said:
"He drives out demons by the prince of demons."

What kind of miracle?
Exorsism:
Jesus drove out the evil and sins from the possessed mute.

Deeper Meaning:
Jesus rises above all evil, he is more powerful than the devil. He can lift the evil up and push them out.

How does this show God's power?
He is more powerful than the demons, and all things evil. So that is why He is able to rid people of evil and sinning because Jesus is God.

What is the significance?
- We don't need to fear the devil.
- If we have faith in Jesus, then he will protect us from evil.
