Strength-based approach - seeks to understand and develop the strengths and capabilities that can transform peoples lives in positive ways

S-B Approach holds the belief that all youth and their families/communities have the ability to recover from adversity. It aims to reveal a young persons internal strengths and resources.

It is not about denying that youth experience problems & these still need to be addressed. But starting with the problem often focuses on what the young person lacks
