Heat is a form of energy associated with the motion of atoms or molecules and capable of being transmitted through solid and fluid media by conduction, through fluid media by convection, and through empty space by radiation.

Heat transfer is the process whereby heat moves from one body or substance to another by radiation, conduction, convection, or a combination of these methods

Convection is the transfer of heat by the circulation or movement of the heated parts of a liquid or gas.
