I used the grant money I received to purchase two ipads and covers for my classroom. It's been a wonderful resource to have ipads in the classroom. My kids love using them to help explain their mathematical thinking (using screencasting), reinforce concepts they are learning about, and practice skills like counting, cardinality, and sequencing to name a few. We work with them individually, in small groups, and during large group instruction. My students are excited about math and keen to show what they know using technology. As most 5 years olds are digital natives by the time they reach school, it's so important to teach them how to use technology to learn and build skills.
