Production

Result of radioactive decay
Most helium escapes into atmosphere
It’s extracted through fractional distillation but natural gas
It’s available in liquid or gaseous forms

Applications

Balloons are the most usage for helium
Used as a productive gas for growing silicon and germanium crystals, titanium and zirconium production, and gas chromatography
It’s used in shielding gas used in arc welding processes
Used in helium to fly like a hot air balloon
