  • At least 9 years a citizen of the US
  • Must inhabit the state they are being elected in

  • At least 7 years a citizen of the US
  • Must inhabit the state in which they are being elected
  • (Informal qualifications):
  • Educated, experience, and an outstanding citizen

  • A senate is elected by voters in each state.
  • And the population of the states.
