A explorer Is some one who leads and expedition, and who is some one who is looking for something and they have to go on a journey to find it.
The definition of an explorer is someone who finds new things and leads an expedition to an particular area for an important reason.

Well Henry I was born in 1565 in London England

What were you looking for Henry?

I was looking for the northwest passage and made 4 voyages to look for it.

Well why did you stop at four Henry?

Because on my 4th voyage my crew mutinied and set me, my son John and 7 loyal crew members adrift in a tiny boat in the arctic and I was never seen again.

What did you find on your voyages Henry?

I found Hudson Bay, Hudson River, and Hudson strait.

How long did you live Henry?

I lived for 46 years.

Were did you live Henry?

Well Henry little was known about my early life and the most of the other time it was spent on the 4 voyages I made.

Well Henry did you know that the northwest passage is virtually impassable.

Yes the first ship that got though was in 1903.

My crew mutinied me because they held me responsible for the lack of food and the cold winter stuck in hudson bay. Also they thought I deserved it.

Henry Hudson fits my definition of an explore because he lead an expedition. He also went to a particular area for a important reason. That important reason was to find the northwest passage
I picked Henry Hudson because he shares the same name as me and we might be slightly related.

Studying explorers is important because if we didn't study them we wouldn't know how anybody got here. Also we wouldn't know how any of the forts got here.

Going into sixth grade is being like explorer is because you are exploring a whole new area and you don't know anybody or anything.

I learned about myself that to do good,research you have to work hard and be diligent.
