HIS STORY

  • He was born to Zeus and Hera.
  • Brother of Eilithyia, Hebe, and Ares.
  • Zeus got Métis pregnant with Athena then ate her
  • Hera gave birth to Hephaestus to get back at Zues
  • Hephaestus then split Zeus' head with an axe

HIS STORY

  • He was kicked off Olympus
  • Because he sided with his mom in a fight
  • Or because he was ugly and Hera threw him off
  • When he impacted he had a major leg deformation
  • He was raised by Thetis and Euryname (nereids)

  • He was eventually invited back by Zeus
  • He built a throne for Hera as a present
  • Then trapped her in the throne
  • Zeus got him drunk married him to Aphrodite
  • He then released Hera

  • He had no cities named directly after him
  • He was important to many cities though
  • He had many temples spread throughout Greece
  • One of his big temples was in Athens called Hephaesteum
  • He was respected everywhere
