Hera's husband is Zeus which makes her the Olympian queen
She is goddess over marriage and women
She is also goddess over the sky and the heavens
Hera is patron goddess in Argos of Greece
Her sacred animal is the peacock

Hera is known for her jealousy and being very cold
She was treated with the same respect for her husband
In many myths she is known for trying and sometimes succeeding
in killing the children that Zeus has with mortal women

MAJOR STORY
One example of hera's cruel ness was that of Hephaestus
Hera tried to create him on her own trying to prove a
Point to Zeus
Because she did this out of anger Hephaestus was born deformed
Though he was deformed he was very crafty

MAJOR STORY CONTINUED
Because Hephaestus was deformed
Hera threw him off of Mt Olympus
Zeus did take pity on him
And he had Hephaestus married to Aphrodite
(He did this as punishment for Aphrodite)
