Hernando Cortes was born in Medllin,Spain and in 1485. And he died in Spain also in 1547. Cortes was part of the generation of Spanish colonizers that began the first phase of the Spanish colonization of Americas.

In 1504, Hernando Cortes
left for Cuba after
learning about getting rich fast. He bought an estate in Cuba and before long, he was rich. He was also the son of Martin Cortes de Monroy and of Doña Catalina Pizarro Altamarino-names of ancient lineage.
