He died at the battle of the Alamo because he was fatally ill.
The Bowie knife and Bowie State University were named after him.

He was born in Greene county, Tennessee.
He fought in the war of 1812 and the Alamo.
He died at the Alamo.
He died on March 6th, 1836 and cause of death is unknown.
Crockett, Texas and Davy Crockett Lake were named after him.

He was Born in South Carolina on 9 August 1809.
He fought in the battle of the Alamo.
He died fighting at the Alamo.
Lake Travis and Travis County Texas were named after him.

He fought at the Battle of Concepcion, the siege of Bexar, and the Alamo.
He died in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico of old age.
The town of Seguin and an episode of "American Playhouse" were named after him.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1804 in Georgia.
He fought in the battle of Gonzales and the battle of Concepcion.
He died on March 27th, 1836 and was executed by being shot in the face.
Fannin county Texas and camp Fannin were named after him.

SANTA ANNA
He was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, Nueva España.
He fought in the battle of the Alamo, and San Jacento.
He died in Mexico City from old age.
Santa Anna was depicted as a military leader in the 1998 film The Mask of Zorro.
His nickname was "The Napoleon of the West."

SAM HoUSTON
He was born in Lexington, Virginia on March 2nd, 1793.
He fought in the battle of San Jacento and the war of 1812.
He died on July 26, 1863, in Huntsville, Texas of pneumonia.
The Sam Houston schoolhouse and the Sam Houston national forest were named after him.

MARTIN PERfecto DE COS
He was born on October 1st, 1800 in Veracruz, Mexico.
He fought in the siege of Bexar and the battle of San Jacinto.
He died in Minatitlan, Mexico while serving as a general.
