TYPES OF HERPES

• Herpes simplex one morally called oral herpes. simplex one ulcers appear in or around the mouth area.
• Herpes simplex two which can be called genital herpes. Simplex two ulcers appears around the genital area.

Symptoms

• Both viruses have similar symptoms:
• Body aches
• Fever
• Tingling sensation: herpes simplex one is ONLY the mouth area while simplex two is hips, legs, and buttocks
• Lymph nodes swelling up
• Burning and Itching

Transmitted

• Simplex one is transmitted by oral contacts such as saliva exchange.
• Simplex two is transmitted by unprotected sex, sores, and fluids from a person with the virus.

Prevention

• Herpes simplex one: avoid oral contacts such as oral sex and kissing.
• Herpes simplex two: decrease sexual activity especially unprotected sex!!!!!
• USE CONDOMS TO PREVENT GENITAL HERPES!!!!!!!

Treatments

• Antivirals reduce the severity and the rate of the symptoms.
• Antiviral medication does not cure the virus, it lowers the rate of the ulcers recurring.
• Burning and Itching creams to relieve pain.
