PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HIGH PLAINS

Naomi Gonzalez

The high plains of Texas are in the panhandle and northern parts of Texas.

Some major cities in this Ecoregion are Lubbock and Amarillo.

The High Plains Ecoregion.

The high plains usually have extreme temperatures in both summer and winter.

The dominant plants in the high plains are buffalo grass, yucca plant, and mesquite.

The major animals in this Ecoregion are mostly waterfowl that migrate in the winter.

In the winter, these waterfowl birds migrate to get away from the cold.

Drought has greatly effected the landscape, and has made it difficult to work.

THERE AREN'T MANY TREES IN THE HIGH PLAINS.

THAT MAKES IT MUCH PRETTIER WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE SKY AT NIGHT.

THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES HERE

INCLUDING RODEOS AND MUSEUMS, OR YOU CAN JUST WTCH THE SUNSET.
