DHARMA

  • Hinduism describes dharma as the natural universal laws whose observance enables humans to be contented and happy, and to save himself from degradation and suffering.
  • It means "that which holds" the people of this world and the whole creation.
  • They use this today by praying to be happy and not suffering

KARMA

  • It's a philosophy and it means to act.
  • It's the theory that the reaction you have will have the opposite effect on you.
  • They use this today, to be nice and respectful to others and bad thing won't happen to you.

RENICARNATION

  • Hinduism says that our unfulfilled desires are primarily responsible for our rebirth.
  • Reincarnation is when they died and go into a new life has someone else.
  • They use this today as to get closer to there god.

THE VEDAS

  • The Vedas are a collection of texts written in Sanskrit from about 1200 BCE to 100 CE.
  • They use these books to pray to there god and for them to get closer to there paths.

THE CASTE SYSTEM

  • It's a pyramid that has all the middle classes on it.
  • It's were you are put in a class to decide what you are going to be.
  • Just like in Europe in the medieval times.
  • They use this today to keep people in order.
  • But they all need the lower class cause they are the support system.
