Hinduism was started by the Aryan's or noble people. They passed down their traditions down by writing sacred text and also by teaching their ways from teacher to student.

The god of Hinduism is Brahman.

Ramanuja founded the visivitivan school. Also he their god all over India.
Shankara fought the Buddhist people for Hinduism and reestablished authority of Verdic text.

A Hindu place of worship is called a mandir or temple. Temples that are dedicated for specific gods/goddesses are also known as deity. God's home on Earth are the temples.

Inside the temple. A garbhargriha is the most holy part of the temple with a statue of a god or goddess and an inner shrine in the center of the temple is a sikhara. Ceremonies inside the temple are called puja. Worshippers have red dots/blessings on their heads also known as a tilaka.

The Ganges are holy to this religion this is where they wash away sin and their ashes go after they die.

Karma is very strong it can help you in life once you die or it can curse you. They also believe that it is important to treat people with respect no matter the race. This effects them because they are being respectful in everyday life. Also they believe in the spark of god. Stating that god is always with them and that they are acting for god.

Diwali is the Hindu New Year. Also is the Festival of Lights and is celebrated in late October and early November. This celebration happens every year.

Kumbha Mela is the a gigantic bathing affair. Millions of people go the Ganges every 12 years for this celebration in Allahbad. This bathing refreshes the body. Cleansing themselves every during this time is very important.
