LOCATION AND GOALS

  • Located primarily in India, but also Nepal
  • Goal is to reach Moshka, selflessness, and responsibility
  • Moshka is liberty in religion
  • Moshka is also a connection with God

BELIEFS AND PRACTICES

  • There are 9 main beliefs in hinduism. A few of them are:
  • There is one, all pervasive supreme who is both immanent and transcendent.
  • The universe undergoes endless cycles of creation, preservation, and dissolution.
  • All life is sacred, to be loved and revered,and therefore practice amimsa, "noninjury".
  • The majority of Hindus worship deities by using devotional practices known as Bhakti.

BELIEFS AND PRACTICES CONTIN.

  • Devotional practices are related to the act of meditation.
  • Worship may involve literal or figurative sacrifice, known as yajna.
