  • The hippo has huge tusks on its bottom jaw.
  • The hippo has webbed four toed feet.

  • Despite their size the hippo has short legs.

ANIMAL HABITAT

  • Hippos usually live in by grasslands in freshwater rivers and lakes.
  • As for the pygmy hippo they live in the African rainforests.
  • The hippos eat up to 150 pounds of grass in a night.

  • Hippos have webbed toes to help them to swim.
  • Despite their size hippos have thin skin for the heat.
  • Hippos can close their nostrils, ears, and eyes to protect them from the water.
