  • In the time of King Henry VIII there was a relative of Edward's named Robert Windsor

MY ANCESTORS ARE THE FRUITFUL PEOPLE

  • Fruitful people who immigrated to America in 1638
  • Robert became what is now Providence, Rhode Island

ROGER WILLIAMS

  • Born in England
  • Believed in freedom of religion
  • Fled to America to find freedom of belief -
  • Unpopular because of that in England

WINDSOR/WINSOR

  • Joshua arrives in Providence
  • The name was changed from Windsor to Winsor
  • They had many children then founded a church in 1639

  • Joshua had 2 sons: Joshua II and Samuel
  • They also had 3 daughters Sarah, Susannah, and Mary
  • By the way Joshua married Mary Barker who was from Newport

  • Abraham, Augustus and Daniel along with three daughters, Mary Sarah and Lucina

  • Their second daughter named Mary married Joseph Brown. They had 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys
