ECONOMIES

• North- had indusrties, and lager cities
• South- farmsteads, large plntaions, smaller towns
• West- poor farmland, extreme temps, little rain

SOCIETIES

• North- more people, more friendly, worked together
• South- less people, hated the blacks, not nice
• West- not very many people, worked together to find land, worked with the north

CUTLURE

• North- against slavery, finding easy ways to do things
• South- liked slavey, treated blacks ad property
• West- find new things, in the middle of slavery

POLITICS

• North- mostly whig/republican parties
• South- democrats
• West- in between the rep/demo but most were with the north
