THE CHOU
- About 1000 BC the Chou invaded the Shang from
- The West and overthrew their dynasty.
- The Chou rule lasted longer than any other
- dynasty in Chinese history.
KING WU
- King wu of the Chou fulfilled the wish of his
- Dying father by defeating the Shang dynasty.
KINGS
- Beneath kings were the nobles,
- and under them were the peasant farmers
- The king nobles land in exchange for their loyalty
